Alone Time

It's Sunday and I was off to take my alone time. I decided to go out for a couple of hours because I felt suffocated inside the house. My eldest son was sick beginning Wednesday and followed by his younger brother Saturday. Though my husband had been supportive in taking care of our children, my anxiety level rose up high due to my children's condition. It was a mixed of fever, cold and flu. We even managed to have them checked at the hospital following the day after the Typhoon Mario hit Metro Manila. Days gone by, the kids were clingy and weak and I couldn't help not to worry. They began to feel fine only later this afternoon before l went out.

So I had a me-time because I felt the need to get myself back on track to gear up for the coming week that I have to endure alone again at home doing all the tasks that I need to do especially taking care of my boys. Also, my work from home which I seemed to can't find focus to work on because of my worries and other priorities.

Back to me-time, I just went around the mall looking for good finds and cool stuff. I began reading biscuit books, took a three-minute chair massage, looked around inside the Japan store and home deco shop. Then I felt my head was aching and I thirst for coffee. I walked around and went inside McDonald's but it was crowded so I left and walked again. I love walking alone. It's the cheapest relief for the stress. I get to think and talk to myself like crazy. Really. It helps me free my mind and think wide open. I tend to argue with my own thoughts and organize once done. That's insane. But ironically, that's how I get to be sane.

Walking by, I headed to the middle class coffee shop in town. It's quiet and that's how I liked it. Besides I am also not a Starbucks drinker or a fan or whatever you call it. I prefer the cheap strong hot coffee of McDonalds and/or Dunkin Donuts. I came in Seisha Coffee ordered nothing but espresso and a crinkle. Cheap? Of course. I put my phone out of my pink bag and open my file. I decided to continue reading Fifty Shades of Grey which started reading on the day I cannot remember. I just stayed there for not even half an hour and went back home.

Going back, my kids were very excited to see me as if I was gone too long. I gave them hugs and kisses. And from that moment, my supermom button pressed on yet again. I started with quick night baths with the two at the same time. Whew.

"MOMS NIGHT OUT"

It was 9pm and the kids were already tucked in bed. So I call it a movie night for two.

My husband to my surprise has a copy of the movie, "Moms Night Out". Only to remember that Friday night is our date night. :)

"Mom's night out" sounds so perfect to my ear that I get so giggly to watch it. For all we know, we moms missed out a lot of night outs since we became a Mom and this movie quite gave me a quick night out by laughing hard over too much related scenes we all moms can pretty much mirror ourselves.

I would suggest you watch the movie as it clearly establish our main or most important role in life and that is, being a Mother.

The movie will make you love yourself and honor the role that's been given to us.
Will not talk too much details about it but it will probably bring you to tears at some point.

So why not grab a chips or popcorn and take a little time to rest and relax while watching this movie?

Click the BREAK button NOW pretty working mom! Cheers! ☺
