Block Screening of "The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2" held in Megamall

Mommy Blogger Philippines gave away tickets for the Block Screening of "The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2" held in Megamall Cinema 6, Wednesday, Nov. 25.

I was lucky to have been selected as one of the participants for Jennifer Lawrence's blockbuster movie premiere for Megamall block screening. Aside from the fact that I love the nothing-but-real Hollywood actress, (one of the reasons why I was so eager to join), I was also very excited to cover an event as a" mommy blogger" here in the Philippines.

The event started at exactly 8pm. The sponsors were generous enough to giveaway prizes! 

I would like to thank Mommy Lani of Mommy Blogger Philippines for giving me a slot for this event and to Ms. Tara of Modworld Productions for accommodating us. I was glad to meet fellow blogger moms during the premiere.

‘Game of Thrones Season 6’: Is Jon Snow Dead or Alive? Or Is it a Mock Up Ad from ‘The Walking Dead’?

The “Game of Thrones Season 6” art teaser is up and shows one of the favorite lead characters, Jon Snow.

Game of Thrones fans shared the latest poster and gained 35,000 shares on Twitter only after three hours of its release on Monday, Nov. 23, according to Reuters.

The graphic art shows the dark beaten, bloody, and full-faced Jon Snow wearing his original locks with a single word “April” apparently delivers the premiere month of the upcoming season 6 in 2016 to its several viewers. The debut of the show typically begins on March to early April. This is the first slice of promotion for the latest Game of Thrones series and it makes the fans suspect more whether Kit Harington’s character is still alive after showing the death of “Jon Snow” in the fifth season of the show.

It seemed like a mock up ad of Glenn’s (Steven Yeun) character in the “The Walking Dead” which shaped speculations after his apparent demise in Season 6 Episode 3.

HBO’s fictional series “Game of Thrones” made popular by delivering imaginative deaths into real graphic visualizations. The demise of the lead character “Jon Snow” created speculations even before the poster came out and it appeared like the fans wanted more of his character dubbed as the “finest creations” by New York Times.  

“Game of Thrones Season 6” will be release on HBO on April 2016. 

'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2' Premiere Cancelled along with Foo Fighters, U2 Concerts and CBS TV Shows After Paris Attacks

The Hollywood entertainment industry has stopped to pay respect for the victims of the terrorist attacks that killed 129 people in Paris, France on Nov. 13, Friday. Several music concerts, movie premieres, and TV shows have reportedly been cancelled following the terror attacks.

On Nov. 14, Saturday, rock band Foo Fighters cancelled their scheduled concert in Paris. The most harmful attack took place in Bataclan concert hall. However, Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways World Tour was planned in a different location.

The band, led by Dave Grohl, said in a statement (via E! Online): "It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in Paris that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour."

"In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can't continue right now. There is no other way to say it. This is crazy and it sucks," the band added.

Foo Fighters as well as Coldplay (during their US concert) both showed support to the families of the victims by simply offering a prayer and silence for the losses in Paris attack.

On Nov. 15, Sunday, CBS TV shows "Supergirl" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" announced the change of episodes due to the scenes pertaining to terrorism and bombings of the latter show.

Meanwhile, entertainment company Lionsgate said in a statement that interviews would not be allowed at the premiere of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" as a way of "respect for the recent events with Paris," USA Today reported.

The statement continued: "We will proceed with the rest of the event as planned in honor of the incredible fans who have always supported our films with such passion." The movie franchise "Hunger Games" filmed its final parts in Paris.

Similarly, on Friday Irish rock band U2 cancelled their Paris concerts. The band cancelled two performances including the one to be taped for an HBO special.

Two other Hollywood films were also cancelled in the wake of the tragedy. One is the film by Steven Spielberg, "Bridge of Spies" and the other is Natalie Portman's "Jane Got a Gun."

“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” cast pronounced sympathy for the Paris people concerning the recent terrorist attack during the premiere on November 16 at the films in Los Angeles.

It was an overcast affair for the final flight of the ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2’ following the recent ruthless attack happened in Paris last November 13.

The Hollywood Reporter reported, the film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth put on French colored flag ribbons pinned on their attires together with a bold Hunger Games Mockingjay badge made solely for the franchise.

On November 15, it was initially announced by the Lionsgate productions film to cancel interviews for the said movie due to the killings of 129 people in the capital city of France.

The Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer stood on the stage. He shared a brief story about the recent premiere happened in Paris and the final Hunger Games scenes that were filmed in the same city.

"Tonight, as we celebrate our movie and salute our filmmakers, we want to express our solidarity with the brave people of Paris and share our sympathy for their grieving," he said.

We stand with them tonight."

The Lionsgate CEO introduced the director and producer of the hit film, director Francis Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson. Jacobson the producer give thanks to the cast of the movie including Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Jena Malone, Hutcherson, Hemsworth, and Lawrence.

While the director mentioned and thanked the writer of the movie franchise, Suzanne Collins. Collins wrote the “The Hunger Games” book. "Suzanne, thank you. Without you none of us would be here together tonight," said the director. "Thank you for your stories, and your patience with us, and your guidance." He ended.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Banks, who plays the character of Effie Trinket, posted a photo on Twitter with her own words, “Our hearts are with you, France, where we have so many amazing fans.” 

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2’ will be release in theaters on November 20.

JOLLY MUSHROOM SPAGHETTI

There is no better recipe for weekend with the kids than this JOLLY MUSHROOM SPAGHETTI!

It is truly EASY to prepare. Everybody loves Spaghetti and I will share my recipe on how to make your Spaghetti more delicious and special because I added Jolly Premium Sliced Mushroom to make it great! 

Try this and serve your own JOLLY MUSHROOM SPAGHETTI to your family over the weekend! 

Ingredients  

• 198g Jolly Premium Sliced Mushroom       
• 500g Spaghetti Sauce
• 450g Spaghetti Pasta
• 1 tsp Garlic, minced
•  500g Ground Pork 
• 4 pcs Hotdogs, sliced
• 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
• 1 medium sized Onion, diced
• Cheddar Cheese
• 2 tbsp Salt
• 1/2 cup of water 
• 4 tbsp Cooking Oil

Instructions

Jolly Premium Sliced Mushroom

1. In a large pot, put-in salt and oil with water and bring to boil
2. Add the Spaghetti Noodles and cook until tender (see package for cooking time) then set aside
3. Using a separate pan, saute the garlic and onions
4. Put-in the round meat and let cook for 5 minutes
5. Add the hotdogs and cook for 2 minutes
6. Then add Jolly Premium Sliced Mushroom and cook for 1 minute 
7. Put-in the Spaghetti Sauce and brown sugar then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes
8. Place the sauce on top of the cooked noodles and add some cheese
9. Serve, share and #MakeitJolly! :)

WHY I CHOOSE TO DISCIPLINE MY KIDS THAN TO SPOIL THEM

                              

My husband and I are different when it comes to parenting. My husband is more of spoiler and I am the disciplinarian. But when it comes to showing love and affection, we meet in between. Our kids love playtime. And by playtime it means, putting down the phone, tickles and giggles, hide and seek and pretending to be a superhero and knights of the castle. We love how kids love to play with us. It gives us sense of fulfillment as parents. The laughter brings joy to the entire house and make it a home. However, when misbehavior arises, I only step back when my husband steps in to discipline the kids. But most of the time, it is my call. Why? Here’s why.

1.  I want my kids to grow knowing what is right and what is wrong.

I never wanted my kids to think that their wrongdoing is acceptable. Mistakes are to be correct. If not, I am raising a brat.

2. Rules are rules inside or outside the house.

Sooner or later they will be out and about. I wouldn’t want anybody to call me just to tell me I have a bad child. As a parent, it is hard to reason out for a wrong act committed by your child. So might as well teach him to behave properly anywhere to avoid such.

3.  Bratty kids are out of my league.

Who would want to have those little monsters? I bet I’m not.

4. They need to know the consequences of their actions.

Life is full of consequences, choices, and decisions. It is good to teach them a lesson and prepare them for life. That is why I always tell them even at age two, “Not everything will be on your favor and you have to deal with that.” Hard, right?

5.  Teaching them to make a good decision the next time.

What makes a good leader? Poor decision making does not count on that. As a man, he needs to grow knowing how to make a good decision for himself before he can even decide for others or for his family or subordinates in the future. Teaching them responsibility for their actions will certainly give them a lesson.

5 REASONS WHY “TOY STORY” IS HELPFUL FOR ME AND MY KIDS

1.  Kids learn to play toys and love it just like Andy.

Andy loves all his toys especially Woody and Buzz Lightyear. So my kids learn to love their toys as well. I feel that they get lonely when Andy has to leave his toys for college. I wonder if baby girls cry at lonely scenes or baby boys just don’t really shed a tear? Enlighten me.

2. Sid makes them realize NOT to break their toys.

My kids known FEAR once Sid comes out at Pizza Planet. That black shirt with skull prints is a sign of evil coming. But how I love to scare my kids about Sid breaking their toys if they won’t behave? Isn’t that perfect? YOLO.

3.  Andy taught them to love and to care for their toys.

From the day when Andy celebrate his birthday and get Buzz Lightyear as a present, we know how much he loves playing with Woody and his friends. My boys, especially my eldest, get to play with their toys cautiously not to break a single part of it. Who would want a broken toy anyway?

4. Toy Story 1, 2, 3, gives me free time and all the time I need to finish the chores.

And when the boys are entertainingly occupied with Woody and Friends and all that scary monkey, big bad bear, and big baby, I get to do A LOT of housework in a snap! Yes, and I can even get a free time if I finish everything right away. “Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!” Andy shouting in the background while I’m typing this post. Oh my Te quiero!

5. We enjoy watching Toy Story over and over again and we never get bored.

Toy Story is for all ages. We all had our own toys during our childhood days and even until now. (Until now? Wait, whut?! Forget about that!)Toys make us all happy and we even wonder at some point if they can even talk if we talk to them or move when we try to make them fly, walk and dance. Watching them like actually talking and moving without people knowing are very much on point. Big bad bear’s (as we call him) drama does happen to our own toys at some point. Replacing, thrown into the thrash and donating to Day Care are certainly toys’ reality. I love talking to my kids what happen and they never really get tire of asking me.

Get a copy of Toy Story 1, 2, and 3 to know what I mean and try to reminisce your childhood days with your toys. Be young and play again. You never really know. Your kids will suddenly blurt out “Buzz” in a few and get really stuck sitting there holding their own favorite toy.
